Amit Jani Responds as Delhi High Court Postpones Salman Khan’s Plea to July 6: “We’re Set for 8,000 Theaters!”

The legal battle surrounding the film “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy” has intensified as the Delhi High Court has adjourned the hearing on Salman Khan’s plea to restrain the film’s release until July 6. The recent court session did not yield any interim order against the film, prompting producer Amit Jani to take to social media to express his views on the matter.

Salman Khan’s Allegations Against the Film

Salman Khan has approached the Delhi High Court, claiming that “Kala Hiran” infringes on his personality rights. He alleges that the film makes direct references to him and his personal life, which he finds objectionable. The actor specifically pointed out the film’s promotional material, which features a lookalike wearing his signature blue bracelet. Additionally, Khan raised concerns about references to his 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his alleged rivalry with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

In his plea, Khan seeks to prevent the film’s release, arguing that it misappropriates elements of his life without consent. The court’s decision to adjourn the hearing means that the matter will remain unresolved until the next scheduled date.

Amit Jani’s Response on Social Media

Following the court proceedings, producer Amit Jani took to X to share his thoughts on the outcome. He stated, “Salman Khan still hasn’t received relief from the Delhi High Court today, no ban on the film, hearing of the case adjourned till July 6.” Jani emphasized that the court does not recognize celebrity status, asserting, “for the court, there is no star, nor do they acknowledge any glamour.” He further remarked, “just by calling oneself the father of Bollywood, the blackbuck won’t stop—this will release in 8000 cinema halls and simultaneously across the whole world.”

Jani’s comments reflect his confidence in the film’s release, despite the ongoing legal challenges.

Court Proceedings and Certification Status

During the hearing, the producers’ counsel informed Justice Jyoti Singh that “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy” has not yet been submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for approval. When questioned about the film’s release schedule, the counsel clarified that it was not set for release at this time. He assured the court that no steps would be taken to approach the censor board before the next hearing date.

The court acknowledged the submissions made and noted that the producer’s rejoinder had not yet been filed. Consequently, the hearing on Salman Khan’s interim injunction plea has been postponed to July 6.
