Boosting the pace of development of Uttar Pradesh, Union Minister for Roads, Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated two national highway projects with an investment of over Rs 3,300 crore in Lucknow.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath along with Shri Rajnath Singh, Union State Minister, Shri General VK Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak, Union State Minister, Shri Kaushal Kishore, Ministers of State Shri Jitin Prasad, Shri Aseem The occasion was also attended by Arun, Member of Parliament, Shri Subrat Pathak, MP Dr. Ashok Bajpai and other MPs, MLAs and officials.

Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh and one of the most important cities in the country. Two National Highway projects were inaugurated today in Lucknow costing over 3,300 crore. The inaugurated project encompasses the Madiyav-IIM section of Lucknow-Sitapur on National Highway 24. The newly constructed 4-lane elevated corridor at the junction was completed 6 months ahead of schedule. This will provide better connectivity from Lucknow to Sitapur, avoid heavy traffic jams at Bhitauli Tiraha and Jankipuram Extention and save more than 30 minutes of time and fuel. Pilgrims will be facilitated to visit Chandrika Devi and Naimisharanya.

The construction of a 4 lane road from Naviganj to Mitrasenpur of the Aligarh-Kanpur section will ease the traffic between Naviganj, Kannauj, Mitrasenpur and then towards Delhi. Economic development will get a boost in the perfume center of Uttar Pradesh, Kannauj and surrounding areas. Small and medium industries will get a boost in areas like Chhibramau, Gursahaiganj, Jalalabad, Manimau. Kannauj farmers will have ease of transportation all the way to Chhibramau, Naviganj Mandi and direct access to Delhi will be easy.
