Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign Launches Across 2000 Cities
The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare is set to launch its fifth nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign from November 1 to November 30, 2026. This ambitious initiative will cover 2000 cities and districts throughout India, marking the largest DLC campaign to date. The campaign aims to streamline the process of verifying the identity of pensioners, ensuring they can access their benefits without hassle.
In a coordinated effort, the campaign will involve various stakeholders including Pension Disbursing Banks, India Post Payments Bank, Pensioners’ Welfare Associations, and multiple government departments. The goal is to connect with pensioners, even in the most remote areas of the country, providing them with essential services and support.
Innovative Technology to Aid Pensioners
A key focus of this campaign is the promotion of Face Authentication Technology. Backed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and UIDAI, this technology facilitates a quick and secure method for generating digital life certificates. Elderly pensioners will benefit from this user-friendly system, which is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, simplifying the process significantly.
Comprehensive Outreach Efforts
The Department is also mobilizing resources for extensive publicity through multiple channels. Teams from Doordarshan, All India Radio, and the Press Information Bureau are ready to support the campaign through audio, visual, and print media. Awareness initiatives will include SMS notifications, the hashtag #DLCCampaign5 on social media, catchy jingles, and short films to educate the public about the new campaign.
