Sandeep Batra Steps into CHRO Role
Sandeep Batra brings over 30 years of extensive experience in talent management and organizational development to JSW Steel and corporate functions. His primary focus will include enhancing organizational effectiveness, developing leadership capabilities, and managing talent. This approach aligns with the Group’s ambition to build a future-ready workforce.
Before joining JSW, Batra held the position of Chief People Officer at Adani Airport Holdings Limited and has previously worked in leadership roles with prominent organizations such as Vodafone India and Landmark Group. His professional journey includes valuable experience across various sectors including IT, retail, and aviation, in addition to his tenure as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army.
Shilpi Lal Sharma Joins as Head of Talent, Learning, Development & DEI
Joining Sandeep is Shilpi Lal Sharma, who will steer the Group’s initiatives in talent development, succession planning, and organizational performance as the new Head of Talent, Learning, Development, and DEI. Reporting directly to Batra, her role will be pivotal in cultivating a culture of inclusion and leadership growth across JSW’s expansive business portfolio.
Sharma boasts over 20 years of experience in talent management and has held senior leadership roles in various respected organizations, including her most recent position at Welspun Group. Her expertise also encompasses prior positions at the National Stock Exchange of India and UltraTech Cement, where she significantly contributed to their talent and development strategies.
