Bank of Baroda Launches Innovative Phygital Branch in Bengaluru

Bank of Baroda has opened its second Phygital Branch in Bengaluru, situated on K G Road, introducing a modern banking experience that combines digital convenience with personal service. This innovative branch concept aims to enhance customer interactions by integrating self-service capabilities with assisted service options, catering to a wide range of banking needs.

Revolutionizing Customer Experience

The newly inaugurated Phygital Branch features advanced facilities such as Self Service kiosks, a Video Contact Centre for non-financial inquiries, and Universal Service Desks for in-person assistance. The highlight of this branch is the Virtual Relationship Manager, known as ‘Aditi’, designed to assist customers in navigating their banking transactions more efficiently. This launch expands Bank of Baroda’s footprint to 11 Phygital branches nationwide, further solidifying its commitment to embracing digital transformation.

Key Features of the Phygital Branch

Among the standout features of the Bank of Baroda’s Phygital Branch are:

  • Self-Service Kiosks: Equipped with interactive touch screens and tablets, these kiosks allow customers to perform various services, including PAN updater, account statements via email, and nominee updates.
  • Video Contact Centre: Customers can connect with the bank’s contact center via video call for assistance on non-personalized services such as home loan inquiries and savings account questions.
  • Universal Service Desks: The branch offers dedicated service areas with Universal Service Desks where customers can receive personalized help for all their banking needs.
  • Virtual Assistant ‘Aditi’: Aditi is a next-generation Virtual Relationship Manager that enhances customer engagement by providing real-time assistance and personalized support.

During the inauguration, the Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Baroda emphasized the importance of Bengaluru as a vibrant banking market and a hub for technological innovation. He noted that the Phygital Branch is designed to serve the evolving needs of customers, allowing them to complete routine banking transactions quickly and efficiently while also providing access to more complex services.
