Bigg Boss 20: Kushal Tanwar, aka Gullu, Opens Up About Marriage and Divorce
Bigg Boss 20 contestant Kushal Tanwar, affectionately known as Gullu, recently opened up about a challenging chapter in his life during a heartfelt conversation with fellow contestant Qazi Touqeer. Gullu shared that he went through a divorce in 2024, just four to five months after his marriage. This revelation came as the two discussed Gullu’s experiences on reality television, shedding light on the personal struggles he faced during that time.
Gullu’s Marriage and Divorce
During their discussion, Qazi expressed surprise upon learning about Gullu’s brief marriage and inquired whether it occurred before or after his reality show appearances. Gullu candidly responded, “I got divorced in 2024. It was a very depressing phase. I was married for 4-5 months. Everyone thought it was wrong, and I kept trying, but then I understood it wasn’t working. On our side, marriages happen early, and I had to marry because of my family.”
He elaborated on the pressures that led to his marriage, explaining that it was heavily influenced by family expectations. Despite his initial efforts to make the relationship work, Gullu ultimately realized that it was not meant to be. He reflected on this difficult period, stating, “Nothing can go worse than this; now, life will give me better moving forward from this. And I just decided to focus on my work.”
Challenges During Divorce Proceedings
Gullu also revealed that his divorce proceedings coincided with his time on the reality show Roadies. The situation became even more complicated when wedding photos surfaced online, adding to his emotional turmoil. He recounted, “I was in Goa with the Roadies gang, and someone leaked out images. I thought it was a game over for me. I didn’t know what to do.”
When Qazi inquired about the duration of the legal proceedings and the support he received from his family, Gullu shared that his decision to seek a divorce was met with resistance. “There was a fight in which I wanted divorce and my family was against it. My family members had cut me off completely at that time. All of this took a year to settle these matters. It took a toll on me but I am finally out of all of this,” he explained.
Gullu’s revelations have reignited discussions surrounding the controversy of his wedding pictures. Previously, he had addressed the claims regarding the authenticity of the images, labeling them as fake.
