Reliance Industries Limited Reports Record Quarterly Profit of Rs 29,550 Crore in Q2

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) achieved its highest-ever quarterly consolidated gross revenue in the July-September quarter of FY27, reporting a 27.8% year-on-year increase to Rs 3,62,268 crore. The company’s profit surged by 33.8% to Rs 29,550 crore, marking a record quarterly profit on a recurring basis. Additionally, consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) reached a record high of Rs 62,409 crore, up 23.9% from Rs 50,367 crore in the same quarter last year.
O2C BUSINESS DELIVERS RECORD PERFORMANCE
The oil-to-chemicals (O2C) segment was a major driver of RIL’s quarterly performance, achieving its best-ever results. Segment EBITDA soared 67.9% year-on-year to Rs 25,203 crore, while revenue increased by 44.2% to Rs 2,31,601 crore. This growth was bolstered by stronger refining margins for transportation fuels and improved petrochemical margins amid global supply disruptions. Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, noted that the O2C business benefited from tight fuel markets and robust domestic demand.
RELIANCE RETAIL REVENUE GROWS 6.4%
Reliance Retail Ventures reported a 6.4% year-on-year rise in gross revenue, reaching Rs 91,716 crore. However, EBITDA before a one-time impairment charge fell by 8.6% to Rs 6,228 crore, attributed to investments in digital commerce, increased input costs, and the timing of major festivals shifting to the third quarter. JioMart continued to show strong growth, with a 42% increase in revenue compared to the same period last year.
Reliance’s oil and gas exploration segment generated revenue of Rs 6,020 crore, a slight decline of 0.6% year-on-year. EBITDA for this segment decreased by 2% to Rs 4,901 crore, primarily due to lower production and price realizations from the KG-D6 gas field. During the July-September quarter, Reliance’s capital expenditure amounted to Rs 38,153 crore, focusing on O2C and New Energy projects, as well as expanding its consumer businesses. As of September 30, 2026, the company’s net debt stood at Rs 1,17,140 crore, down from Rs 1,22,914 crore at the end of the previous quarter.
