SSC to Announce Delhi Police Constable PE & MT Exam Date Soon

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will announce the Delhi Police Constable Physical Test 2026 date on its official website ssc.gov.in very soon. The commission recently released the written exam results for 7,201 Constable (Executive) positions for both male and female candidates. A total of 66,076 candidates have qualified and now await the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) schedule.

Shortlisted candidates must stay updated on the official SSC website for the latest announcements. The physical test round is essential for evaluating candidate fitness and stamina. These qualities are vital for performing police duties effectively. Candidates should prepare accordingly for this important stage of the selection process.

Delhi Police Constable Physical Test 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for Constable (Executive) positions follows a structured approach. Candidates must clear multiple stages to secure their positions. The entire process is designed to identify the most suitable candidates for police service.

The selection stages are:

  • Written Examination (Computer Based Test)
  • Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE & MT)
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Examination
  • Final Merit List
  • Joining and Training

Candidates who pass the written test move forward to the physical test round. Only those who qualify in the PE & MT round proceed to document verification. After successful verification, candidates face medical examination. The final merit list determines who receives appointment letters.

Physical Measurement Test Eligibility Standards

The Physical Measurement Test applies only to candidates who pass the Physical Endurance Test. Height and chest measurements form the basis of this evaluation. Different standards apply for male and female candidates, as well as for general and reserved categories.

For male candidates in the general category, the minimum height requirement is 170 cm. Reserved category male candidates must meet a minimum height of 165 cm. Female candidates in the general category require a minimum height of 157 cm. Reserved category female candidates need a minimum height of 155 cm.

Chest measurement for male candidates ranges from 81 cm to 85 cm. This measurement is not applicable for female candidates. Special relaxation in physical measurements is provided as per official rules for eligible candidates.

Appeal Process for Physical Standards

Candidates declared not qualified in physical standards have the right to appeal. This applies to height and chest measurements only. The appeal must be filed on the same day of the physical test.

Candidates should submit their appeal to the Appellate Authority through the Presiding Officer at their test centre. The decision made by the Appellate Authority is final and binding. No further appeals or representations will be entertained after this decision. However, candidates should note that no appeal is available for the Physical Endurance Test results.

Important Guidelines for Delhi Police Constable PE & MT 2026

Candidates must understand the difference between the Physical Endurance Test and Physical Measurement Test. The PET evaluates stamina and fitness through practical exercises. The PMT checks whether candidates meet the required physical standards.

All shortlisted candidates should regularly check ssc.gov.in for admit card release and exam date announcements. The admit card will contain important information about test centre, timing, and reporting instructions. Candidates must carry valid identification documents to the test centre.

Preparation for the physical test requires regular exercise and fitness training. Candidates should focus on building endurance and strength. Running, push-ups, and other physical exercises help in preparation. Maintaining good health and fitness is essential for success in this round.

What Happens After Physical Test Qualification

Candidates who clear the PE & MT round move to document verification stage. During this stage, educational qualifications and other credentials are verified. Candidates must bring original documents along with photocopies.

After document verification, selected candidates appear for medical examination. The medical test ensures candidates are fit for police duties. Only candidates who pass the medical examination are included in the final merit list. The final merit list determines the appointment order for candidates.

Candidates selected in the final merit list receive appointment letters. They then proceed to joining and training at the police academy. Training prepares them for their duties as police constables.

The Delhi Police Constable Physical Test 2026 is a critical stage in the recruitment process. Candidates should remain alert for the official announcement on ssc.gov.in. Regular updates on the official website will provide all necessary information about exam dates, admit cards, and guidelines for the PE & MT round.
