A few days remain until the highly anticipated release of the “Ramayana” trailer, and excitement is building. Recently, it was reported that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) approved a 4-minute-15-second trailer on July 15, granting it a ‘U’ certificate. Now, more details have emerged regarding the trailer launch event, which will take place at the prestigious San Diego Comic-Con.
Trailer Launch at San Diego Comic-Con
The San Diego Comic-Con is renowned as the world’s largest annual pop culture and comic book convention. On July 23, the “Ramayana” trailer will be screened at this iconic event, featuring the film’s team. The panel is scheduled from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), which translates to 3:45 AM to 4:45 AM IST (Indian Standard Time) on Friday, July 24.
According to the official San Diego Comic-Con website, producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari will be joined by international superstars Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Rama, and Yash, who portrays Ravana. The panel promises to deliver never-before-seen footage, exclusive reveals, live performances, and special giveaways, making it a must-attend event for fans.
Another significant aspect of the “Ramayana” event is its location in Ballroom 20, the second-largest panel venue at the San Diego Convention Center. This spacious, column-free hall can accommodate nearly 4,800 attendees, ensuring a grand setting for the trailer launch.
Other Major Attractions at San Diego Comic-Con 2026
The excitement at San Diego Comic-Con extends beyond “Ramayana.” On Saturday, July 25, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is set to unveil future plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This panel is expected to be one of the most anticipated events of the convention, with the trailer for the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” likely to be revealed. This session will take place in Hall H, the convention’s largest venue, which can hold around 6,500 attendees.
Additionally, the documentary “Stan Lee: The Final Chapter,” which pays tribute to the legendary co-creator of numerous iconic Marvel characters, will premiere on July 23. That same day, indie powerhouse A24 will make a rare appearance with Adam Wingard’s upcoming sci-fi action film, “Onslaught.” Wingard, known for “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” will be joined by cast members Adria Arjona, Drew Starkey, Rebecca Hall, and Dan Stevens to showcase never-before-seen footage that will not be shown again until the fall.
