Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi attended the BRICS Business Forum Leaders’ Dialogue in Johannesburg on 22 August 2023.
Leaders were briefed on the deliberations of the BRICS Business Forum.
The PM highlighted various reforms undertaken by India to improve the ease of doing business, including technology-based solutions to address social and economic challenges. The Prime Minister has invited BRICS business leaders to participate in India’s development journey.
The Prime Minister noted that Covid has highlighted the importance of resilient and inclusive supply chains and underlined the importance of mutual trust and transparency to this end.
He also stressed that together the BRICS can contribute significantly to global well-being, especially of the Global South.
