India vaccination drive

India vaccination drive has administered 5.82 lakh vaccine doses as per provisional report till 7 am today. The vaccination drive was rolled out on 16th January 2021.

As on Day-73 of the vaccination drive (29th March 2021), a total of 5,82,919  vaccine doses were given. Among which,  5,51,164 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 31,755 HCWs and FLWs received 2nd dose of the vaccine.

As on Day-72 of the vaccination drive (28th March 2021), a total of 2,60,653  vaccine doses were given. Among which,  2,18,798  beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 41,855 HCWs and FLWs received 2nd dose of the vaccine.

So far, more than 6.11 cr (6,11,13,354) vaccine doses have been administered.  It covers around 5.22 crores of the first dosage and around 0.89 crores for the second dosage to HCWs, FLWs, beneficiaries aged more than 45 years with specific co-morbidities, and beneficiaries aged more than 60 years.

COVID-19 cases across states

The majority of new COVID cases are reported primarily with states: Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. As per the report, these states account for 78.56% of total new cases. In the last 24 hours, a total of 56,211 new cases was registered. The maximum number of cases were reported from Maharastra (31,643), followed by  Punjab (2,868).

India’s cumulative recoveries stand at 1,13,93,021 today and the national Recovery Rate stands at 94.19%. In the last 24 hours, 37,028 recoveries were registered.
