Scene 1: Rahi’s New Beginnings and Anupama’s Loneliness
Rahi and Prem stand side by side, holding plates for the veneration ritual. Prem picks up the aarti plate. “I’ll offer this to Gautam,” he tells Rahi. She nods silently. Nearby, Khyati watches them and whispers to herself, “I told Rahi to make Prem stay with the family. Did she try?” Vasundhara marches into the room, pointing at the staff. “Move Rahi’s bags to Prem’s room now!” She turns to Khyati and Meeta. “Help them. Rahi stays with Prem tonight.” The women hurry to obey. Meanwhile, Anupama sits alone in her room, staring at Anuj’s photo. “Rahi’s married now… I’m not crying,” she says firmly. Her voice cracks as she adds, “Just days ago, she was here. Now she’s with her new family.” Her phone rings—Rahi’s name flashes on the screen. Anupama reaches for it, but Vasundhara snatches the phone from Rahi’s hand.
“Change your clothes, Rahi. Guests are arriving,” Vasundhara orders. She speaks into the phone, “Anupama, stop calling. Let Rahi adjust here. Wait until rituals end.” Anupama sighs. “You’re right. I’ll wait.” In Prem’s room, he smiles at Rahi. “Welcome home.” He tries to hug her, but she steps back. “Let me get ready first,” Rahi says, avoiding his eyes.
Scene 2: Hidden Fears and Secret Tiffins
Anupama paces the floor, glancing at her silent phone. “Maybe she’s busy,” she mutters. A call interrupts her thoughts—the caller ID says Central Jail. “I’ll visit tomorrow,” Anupama decides after hanging up. She opens a box of sweets, remembering how Rahi loved them. “She might be hungry,” Anupama whispers, packing a tiffin. At the Kothari house, Rahi finishes dressing with Meeta’s help. She spots the tiffin in her bag and smiles. “I’ll call Mom—” Leela walks into Anupama’s room. “How do you feel now that Rahi’s gone?” Anupama asks, “How did you feel when Dolly left?” Leela shrugs. “You gave Rahi a grand wedding.” Anupama shakes her head. “Everyone helped.” Rahi dials Anupama again, but Prem grabs her phone. “Be my girlfriend, not just my wife,” he says playfully. Rahi crosses her arms. “Cook for me first.” Prem laughs. “Your wish, my command!” Outside the door, Vasundhara frowns at their conversation.
Scene 3: Broken Bonds and Stolen Memories
Prem hands Rahi a gift—a framed photo of Anupama and her old sari. “Your mom’s memories,” he says. Vasundhara storms in. “Why give her things? This is our home now!” Anupama tells Leela about the jail catering offer. Leela gasps. “You’re not going!” Anupama pats her hand. “Don’t worry. I’m just… thinking of Gautam.” Baa corners Rahi in the hallway. “Your mother insulted Gautam! Respect him!” Rahi glares. “I won’t respect her either.” Baa hisses, “Anupama tried to ruin your wedding! Be careful here.” Behind the door, Prem overhears, his face pale with shock.
