IBBI Celebrates a Decade of Progress with New Goals Ahead

The Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport and Highways, Shri Harsh Malhotra, inaugurated the 10th Annual Day celebrations of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, today. This milestone marks a decade since the establishment of the IBBI on October 1, 2016, and highlights its significant contributions to India’s economic landscape.

In his inaugural address, Shri Malhotra praised the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC) for bolstering credit discipline, enhancing the recovery climate, and facilitating a more favorable environment for business operations in India. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to keeping the Code adaptable to address emerging challenges, including recent legislative amendments. Malhotra encouraged all stakeholders to strive for quicker, value-maximizing resolutions in the coming decade.

Embracing Technology for Better Outcomes
