Shikhar describes this system as akin to having personal assistants with “infinite memory and quick wisdom.” This approach allows him to streamline his daily tasks and maintain a comprehensive overview of his professional and personal life.

Similarly, Vignesh Ramakrishnan, the founder of an AI consulting firm in Bengaluru, has taken AI integration a step further. He has developed a WhatsApp-based AI assistant that serves as his operational memory. This innovative tool logs various forms of information, including voice notes, handwritten notes, calendar entries, and client conversations. Ramakrishnan notes that this centralized system has significantly improved his efficiency, stating, “Earlier, client details were scattered across chats, notes, and spreadsheets. Now I just ask one place.” This shift highlights how AI can enhance memory and organization in professional settings.

Filtering Information with AI

Another significant trend is the use of AI to sift through overwhelming amounts of information. Many users are turning to AI-powered curation tools to help them manage their reading and stay informed. Dr. Sneha Jain, for instance, utilizes applications like Readerwise and Pocket to curate and prioritize her reading material throughout the week. She emphasizes the benefits of starting her mornings with high-quality insights rather than wading through a cluttered inbox. By leveraging these tools, Jain can transform idle moments between meetings into productive reading sessions, showcasing how AI can optimize time management and information consumption.

Drafting and Structuring Work with AI

AI’s role in drafting and structuring work has also become increasingly prevalent. Tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot are now commonly used to convert initial ideas into polished drafts for emails, notes, and long-form documents. Newer applications like Gemini’s Nano Banana and Gamma are gaining traction for their ability to create visual presentations and slide decks from simple prompts. Additionally, meeting-focused tools like Granola are emerging, which can record conversations and automatically generate summaries and action points. Pavan Govindan, a founder and author, notes that the most significant impact of these tools has been the reduction of “thinking friction.” He clarifies that while AI does not replace human judgment or creativity, it effectively eliminates the challenges associated with starting from a blank page.
