Scene 1: Morning Departure and Sudden Pain

Sayali began her morning routine by carefully serving breakfast to each family member one by one, making sure everyone had what they needed before starting their day. Renuka watched this process with growing impatience because she had her own agenda for the day that required everyone else to leave the house as quickly as possible. “Everyone should hurry up and finish eating so you can all head out for work,” she urged them repeatedly. “There’s no need to waste time sitting around when you have important things to do.” Her urgency was driven by her determination to prevent Sayali from going to her job, though she didn’t reveal this motive to anyone.

Renuka was still harboring anger toward Sayali, believing that her daughter-in-law had been criticizing her behind her back to others in the community. She was convinced that Sayali was spreading negative stories about her behavior as a mother-in-law. As soon as the last family member walked out the door and left for work, Renuka immediately began implementing her plan to sabotage Sayali’s professional commitments. She suddenly started acting as if she was experiencing severe pain in her hand and shoulder. “Oh, the pain is so terrible,” she cried out dramatically. “I can barely move my arm, and my shoulder feels like it’s on fire.”

Sayali was completely caught off guard by this sudden medical emergency and couldn’t understand what had happened to cause such intense pain. “What’s wrong, Renuka?” she asked with genuine concern. “Should I call a doctor or take you to the hospital?” However, Renuka had no intention of seeking real medical help because her pain was entirely fabricated. Instead, she wanted to keep Sayali busy and occupied in the house so she couldn’t leave for her important decoration work.

Scene 2: Escalating Demands and Desperate Solutions

Renuka began making one demand after another, each designed to consume more of Sayali’s time and prevent her from going to work. “I need you to prepare several different home remedies for this terrible pain,” she instructed. “First, make me a hot compress, then prepare some herbal oil for massage, and after that, I’ll need you to apply ice packs.” She continued adding to the list of treatments she claimed to need. “You’ll have to stay here and take care of me until evening because this pain is so severe that I can’t manage by myself.” Sayali began to panic as she realized how these demands would interfere with her professional obligations. “I don’t understand how I’m going to reach the decoration venue on time if I have to stay here all day,” she thought desperately.

“This is the most important project I’ve ever had, and I can’t afford to let my clients down.” Feeling trapped between family duty and professional responsibility, she decided to call her husband for advice and support. “Sachin, I need your help,” she said when he answered the phone. “Renuka is experiencing severe pain in her hand and shoulder, and she needs constant care throughout the day.” Sachin tried to find an alternative solution that would allow Sayali to fulfill her work commitments. “Can you ask Roshni to come and look after Renuka instead?” he suggested. “That way you can still go to your job while Renuka gets the care she needs.” However, when Sayali tried calling Roshni, she didn’t answer her phone, leaving them without this backup option.

Sachin realized they needed to find another way to handle the situation. “You’ll have to find a way to reach your work destination somehow without Renuka noticing,” he advised his wife. “Maybe you can slip out when she’s distracted or resting.” Unfortunately, Renuka was listening to this entire phone conversation and decided to make her performance even more dramatic. “The pain is getting worse,” she moaned loudly. “I think I might need to go to the emergency room if it doesn’t improve soon.” To add authenticity to her act and create more work for Sayali, she deliberately knocked over and broke a glass jar.

“Oh no, now there’s broken glass everywhere,” she said. “Sayali, you’ll need to clean this up carefully so no one gets hurt.” This additional task further delayed any possibility of Sayali leaving for work. Meanwhile, Sayali’s team members were calling her repeatedly, asking about the decoration work that needed to be completed. “We don’t understand how we’re going to finish everything on time without your guidance,” they told her. Sachin was also feeling the pressure as clients questioned him about the progress of the decorational arrangements.

Scene 3: Family Understanding and Remote Management

Shakuntala, who had been observing the situation, began to suspect that Renuka was deliberately creating problems for Sayali. “Something doesn’t seem right about Renuka’s sudden illness,” she thought to herself. “The timing is too convenient, and her demands seem excessive for someone who is genuinely in pain.” Meanwhile, Renuka continued escalating her demands to ensure Sayali couldn’t leave. “I need you to prepare a special soup with specific herbs for my pain,” she ordered. “And make sure it’s hot but not too hot, and add exactly the right amount of spices.” Sayali found herself caught in an impossible situation, emotionally blackmailed into choosing between caring for her mother-in-law and fulfilling her professional obligations.

“I can’t abandon Renuka when she’s in pain, but I also can’t let down my clients and ruin this important project,” she agonized. Desperate to find a solution, she decided to try managing the decoration work remotely through her mobile phone. “I’ll guide my team through video calls and give them instructions step by step,” she planned. However, just as she was about to implement this plan, Sachin’s phone battery died, cutting off their communication completely.

Sayali felt increasingly irritated and frustrated by Renuka’s constant demands and the impossible situation she was being put in. “I’m terrified about what will happen if this project fails,” she thought, her voice beginning to tremble with anxiety about the potential consequences. “Our reputation and our business depend on completing this work successfully.” In desperation, she called Sachin using Juhi’s mobile phone to reestablish communication. “I’m going to try to guide everyone through the decoration process remotely,” she explained to Sachin. “I’ll give detailed instructions to you and the team so that the work can be completed even without my physical presence.” Despite the challenging circumstances, Sayali began providing comprehensive guidance to her team through the phone, describing every aspect of the decoration setup in detail.

Scene 4: Remote Success and Future Threats

Sachin and Juhi worked together with the decoration team, carefully following every instruction that Sayali provided through the phone. Despite his efforts to help, Sachin couldn’t shake his growing suspicion about his mother’s behavior. “I’m starting to think that my mother might be troubling Sayali intentionally,” he confided to Juhi. “The timing of her illness is too suspicious, and her demands seem designed to prevent Sayali from working.” However, when he spoke to Sayali again, his frustration with the entire situation came through in his words.

“You shouldn’t be taking your job so lightly,” he scolded her. “Everything is at stake with today’s order, and we can’t afford any mistakes or delays.” This criticism hurt Sayali deeply, especially since she was doing everything possible to ensure the project’s success despite the obstacles being placed in her way. “I’m trying my best to make this work,” she said, starting to cry from the stress and emotional pressure. “I haven’t abandoned my responsibilities, and I’m working harder than ever to complete this project.” Sachin immediately realized he had been unfair to his wife and tried to comfort her. “I’m sorry for being harsh with you,” he apologized. “I know you’re doing everything you can in a difficult situation. I promise I’ll handle everything here, so don’t worry about the technical aspects.” Despite feeling hurt by the criticism, Sayali continued providing detailed instructions through her phone, determined to ensure the project’s success.

Through their combined efforts and Sayali’s remote guidance, Sachin, Juhi, and the decoration team successfully completed all the work according to the client’s specifications. When the project manager inspected the finished decoration, he was impressed with the quality and attention to detail. “This is exactly what we wanted,” he said with appreciation. “The work has been completed to our complete satisfaction.” The successful completion of this challenging project made both Sachin and Sayali feel very proud of each other and their ability to work together as a team.

“We proved that we can overcome any obstacle when we support each other,” Sachin told Sayali later. “Your remote management of this project was brilliant, and I’m amazed at how well you handled such a difficult situation.” Sayali felt relieved and gratified that they had managed to deliver excellent results despite all the interference and obstacles they had faced. “We make a great team,” she replied. “When we work together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.”
