SBI, Adani Ports, and Other Leading Stocks to Consider for Purchase on November 7 2025

Morgan Stanley has upgraded its rating on State Bank of India (SBI) to equal-weight, increasing the target price to Rs 1,025. This decision follows SBI’s impressive performance in the July-September quarter of FY26, where net interest income exceeded expectations by 5%. Additionally, the bank’s profit after tax surpassed estimates by 15%, and its asset quality remained robust. Analysts have also raised their earnings per share projections for SBI for the fiscal years 2026 to 2028 by a high single-digit percentage.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s Strong Earnings Performance

Jefferies has issued a buy rating for Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), raising the target price to Rs 4,300. The automotive giant has reported its 14th consecutive quarter of double-digit growth in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), with a remarkable 23% increase year-on-year for Q2FY26. This performance has exceeded analysts’ expectations. M&M has also revised its fiscal year 2026 outlook for tractors and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), now anticipating double-digit growth across all segments. The company has gained market share in SUVs, tractors, and LCVs in recent years and plans to introduce three new SUVs in calendar year 2026, along with a new SUV platform in 2027.

Adani Ports Shows Continued Improvement

HSBC has upgraded its rating on Adani Ports, setting a new target price of Rs 1,700. The company has demonstrated consistent improvement in return on capital employed (ROCE) across its major business segments, particularly in international ports, during Q2FY26. Analysts noted robust underlying demand, market share gains, and international expansion as key factors supporting Adani Ports’ ambitious goal of achieving a throughput of 1,000 million metric tons by 2030. The company’s strategic focus on enhancing ROCE is expected to drive a positive reevaluation of its market position.

Paytm’s Growth Momentum Continues

Citigroup has maintained a buy rating on Paytm, with a target price set at Rs 1,500. The company has reported strong growth and an upward trend in market share, particularly in credit through UPI (Rupay & Postpaid), which is expected to enhance net payment margins excluding device costs. Furthermore, the decline in device costs related to new capital expenditures and refurbishments has improved device economics. Analysts highlighted that Paytm’s performance exceeded expectations in terms of EBITDA and EBIT, aided by lower cloud costs and reduced depreciation and amortization expenses. The outlook for Paytm remains robust, with strong growth and EBIT margin expectations.

Kaynes Technology Maintains Growth Outlook

CLSA has issued a hold rating on Kaynes Technology, slightly lowering the target price from Rs 6,410 to Rs 6,375. Analysts noted that the company’s Q2FY26 revenue was largely in line with expectations, while margins showed slight improvement. Kaynes Technology has maintained its revenue guidance for FY26, FY28, and FY30, indicating a consistent growth trajectory. However, the company has experienced low cash flow conversion, with a significant increase in working capital due to receivables. Analysts expressed optimism about the company’s growth outlook but cautioned that low free cash flow generation could pose risks for future funding needs.
