Jowar and bajra, two significant coarse cereals, have shown varied trends, with jowar sown over 1.01 lakh hectares this year, an increase from 0.75 lakh hectares last year. Oilseeds have also experienced growth, with a total area of 2.05 lakh hectares sown in 2024, up from 1.50 lakh hectares in the previous year, reflecting a positive shift in oilseed production.
