President of India releases postage stamp in memory of Dadi Prakashmani

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, issued a stamp in memory of Dadi Prakashmani, former head of the Brahma Kumaris at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Center today (25th August 2023). This stamp was released as part of the “My stamp” initiative of the Post Department, Ministry of Communications on the occasion of 16th Death Anniversary of Dadi Prakashmani.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that Dadi Prakashmani spreads Indian values ​​and culture in India and abroad through spirituality. Under her leadership, the Brahma Kumaris became the largest female-led spiritual organization in the world. As a true leader, she stood by the Brahma Kumaris family with faith and courage even in difficult circumstances and always guided them.

The President said that the greatest truth in the world is that life is temporary and a person is remembered only for his actions. He added that noble deeds should be done with a sense of public welfare. He shared that Dadi ji may not be physically among us, but the memories of his spiritual and ingenious personality and his message of human welfare will always be alive among us and will continue to inspire generations to come.

Speaking about the recent success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, the President said that all of us have witnessed the unprecedented success of Indian scientists. He added that India has become the first country to reach the South Pole of the Moon. He expressed confidence that through the Chandrayaan-3 mission new information will be obtained from the lunar land for the benefit of the whole world.
