Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also met Dr. Himla Soodyall, noted geneticist and CEO of the South African Academy of Sciences in Johannesburg on 24 August
They exchanged views on the scope of human genetic lines and its application in disease screening.
The Prime Minister has invited Dr Soodyall to collaborate with Indian institutes in the field of genetics.
