Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports organises “Yoga Mahotsav” at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium today

 

On the 20th, the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized “Yoga Mahotsav”.th June 2023 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi ahead of International Yoga Day, 2023 (IDY-2023). Secretary, Youth Affairs Smt. Meeta Rajivlochan, Shri Manoj Sethi, Joint Secretary, and Pankaj Kumar Singh, Director, graced the occasion.

Officials/Officers of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Directorate of National Service Program (NSS), National Service Program (NSS), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Sports Authority of India (SAI), National Anti-Doping Agency ( NADA), The National Dope Test Laboratory (NDTL) also took part in the Common Yoga Protocol. In addition, more than 100 NSS volunteers participated in the Joint Yoga Protocol during Yoga Mahotsav 2023.

Secretary, Youth Affairs Smt. Meeta Rajivlochan, addressing the gathering, highlighted the importance of Yoga in improving mental and physical health. This event included a session on “Benefits and Technique of Rajyoga and Meditation” by Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and yoga demonstrations by yoga instructors from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga.
