Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s Film Directed by Anurag Basu Set for April 30, 2027 Release

Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela are set to star in an upcoming romantic musical directed by Anurag Basu, which has officially locked in April 30, 2027, as its theatrical release date. The film, produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, will feature music composed by Pritam. This project marks a significant milestone for Sreeleela, as it will be her Bollywood debut, while also being the first collaboration between her and Aaryan.

A New Love Story Unfolds

Described as an original love story, the film places music at the heart of its narrative. While specific plot details remain under wraps, it has been clarified that the project is not part of the Aashiqui franchise, despite earlier speculation linking Aaryan to the beloved romantic musical series. The film has been associated with the tentative title “Tu Meri Zindagi Hai,” although an official title has yet to be announced.

Promotional glimpses released so far showcase Aaryan in a rugged singer or rockstar avatar, performing with a guitar. The visuals also highlight the romantic chemistry between him and Sreeleela, setting the stage for an intense musical experience.

Strategic Release Timing

The April 30, 2027, release date positions the film advantageously, as there are currently no major Hindi releases scheduled for that day. It will debut nearly three weeks after SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film “Varanasi,” featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, which is set to release on April 7, 2027. Following that, major releases like “Lag Jaa Gale,” starring Tiger Shroff, and the Sourav Ganguly biopic “DADA” are slated for May 14, 2027.

This strategic timing allows the Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela starrer a clear window in theaters before the next wave of significant releases in May. For Sreeleela, this film is particularly important as it marks her entry into Bollywood with a leading role opposite Aaryan. She has already made a name for herself in Telugu and Kannada cinema, gaining wider recognition in Hindi-speaking markets after her appearance in the song “Kissik” from “Pushpa 2.”
