Avika Gor Admitted to Hospital with Dengue Following Five Days of High Fever
Avika Gor, known for her iconic role as Anandi in the hit television series Balika Vadhu, has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with dengue. The talented actress had been experiencing a high fever for five days before her admission. Her husband, Milind Chandwani, took to social media to update fans on her condition and requested their prayers for her recovery.

On Friday, Milind shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, revealing that Avika had been admitted to the hospital the previous night. He detailed her struggle with a fever that reached between 103 and 104 degrees over the past several days. Despite her illness, Avika continued to honor her professional commitments.
Milind recounted, “Avika has been in the hospital since last night. She has had a fever of 103–104 degrees for the past five days. And guess what she did during those five days? She first went to a project where two days of shooting were still pending. She performed so well despite having a 104-degree fever that they managed to wrap up the shoot in just one day.” He further explained how she pushed through her illness, traveling to Delhi to shoot an advertisement before finally returning to Mumbai, where she learned of her dengue diagnosis.
Avika’s Dedication to Her Craft
Milind expressed admiration for Avika’s dedication to her work and her consideration for others. He mentioned that he had suggested postponing her commitments due to her health, but she insisted on fulfilling her obligations. “Someone will suffer a loss, someone’s time will be wasted, someone’s money will be lost. I don’t want that. I’ll do as much as I can,” she told him.
He continued to praise her work ethic, stating, “I have never understood where someone gets so much love for their work from. The amount of respect she has for her craft and the value she places on other people’s time and resources, I don’t think many people in this industry do that.” Milind concluded his message by asking fans to keep Avika in their prayers, expressing pride in her resilience.

Avika Gor began her acting career as a child artist in the 2007 television series Ssshhhh… Koi Hai. She gained widespread recognition in 2008 when she was cast as Anandi in Balika Vadhu. Following her success on the show, she appeared in several other popular series, including Sasural Simar Ka and Laado – Veerpur Ki Mardani.
In addition to her television work, Avika has acted in both Hindi and Telugu films. She is currently a contestant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, and her most recent appearance in a Telugu film was in Ugly Story.
