Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (15 September 1861 – 14 April 1962) is still remembered with great respect as the “Vishvakarma of modern India”. Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, who devoted his life in the service of the country as a great engineer, scientist, and builder of his time, is counted among the great talents not only in India but in the world. He was born on 15 September 1861 in Karnataka.
Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay (15 September 1876 – 16 January 1938), an immortal Bengali novelist. The form in which the story-literature of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay was presented, the element of popularity has only increased his reader’s taste. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay is also the only Indian story writer, whose films were made on most of his classic works and many serials were also made. This has happened again and again with his works Devdas, Characterless and Shrikant. He was born on 15 September 1876 in a village Devanandpur in Hooghly district, West Bengal.
C.N. Annadurai (15 September 1909 – 3 February 1969), a very important influence in Tamil Nadu politics. He was addressed as ‘Anna’ meaning ‘elder brother’. C. N. Annadurai was a popular leader of Tamil Nadu, the first non-Congress Chief Minister of India and the founder of the ‘Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’ party. The story of modern Tamil Nadu is associated with Annadurai, with tobacco-hewn teeth, a stubby beard and a breathtakingly dry voice. C. N. Annadurai was the first leader who had no role in the country’s freedom struggle. Annadurai was never against Indian politics, but he wanted more autonomy for his state in the ‘Indian Constitution’.

Death Anniversary on 15 September

Kuppahalli Sitaramayya Sudarshan (18 June 1931 – 15 September 2012), the fifth Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In March 2009, Mohan Bhagwat was voluntarily relieved by appointing him as the sixth Sarsanghchalak. He died on 15 September 2012 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Kadiri Venkata Reddy (1 July 1912 – 15 September 1972), an Indian film director, writer, producer and production manager in Telugu cinema, known for his pioneering work in folklore, social and fantasy films.
