ICAR-CIRB Launches Cleanliness Campaign in Hisar
In a bid to promote cleanliness and sustainable practices, the ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (ICAR-CIRB) in Hisar hosted a Swachhata Samvad on September 24, 2026. This initiative is part of the larger Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, themed “Swachhta Mein Sahbhag – Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat,” which encourages active participation in cleanliness efforts among the community.
Interactive Dialogue Promotes Hygiene Awareness
The Swachhata Samvad, aligned with the Day-VIII action plan, served as a platform for over 20 contractual staff and Young Professionals (YPs) to discuss cleanliness. Rather than relying on traditional lectures, the program fostered an open dialogue where participants shared personal experiences and suggestions related to maintaining cleanliness at home, work, and within their communities.
Focus on Practical Cleanliness Measures
During the discussions, key topics included strategies for preventing littering, responsible waste disposal, and effective use of plastic products. Participants emphasized the importance of waste segregation and sustainable cleanliness practices that can be easily adopted. The interaction reinforced the idea that cleanliness is a social responsibility that requires consistent behavior changes and community engagement.

At the conclusion of the session, participants collectively committed to promoting responsible waste management and sustainable habits in their surroundings.
