Kangana Ranaut Supports Isha Koppikar’s ‘Andhbhakt’ Claim: “I Love My Country, I Love My People”

Isha Koppikar recently took to social media to clarify her stance on the term ‘andhbhakt,’ emphasizing her love for India and her commitment to the nation’s progress. The actress made it clear that her devotion is directed towards her country, not any political party. Her comments have garnered support from fellow actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who responded to Isha’s video on Instagram.

Isha Koppikar’s Perspective on Patriotism

In a video shared on her Instagram account, Isha Koppikar expressed her willingness to embrace the label of ‘bhakt’ or ‘andhbhakt’ when it comes to her love for India. She stated, “Yes, I am an andhbhakt. If it is bhakti (devotion) to love your country and want to see it progress, then yes, I am proud to be a bhakti andhbhakt. But my blind devotion is not towards any political party; it’s towards my country. Nation first.” Isha emphasized that it is possible to question the government and disagree with its policies while still holding a deep love for the nation.

She further elaborated on the importance of contributing to the country rather than merely questioning what one receives from it. “This country is my home, where I have earned and continue to earn a livelihood and where I continue to get opportunities. So, I am not ashamed to be proud of my country,” she said. Isha encouraged everyone to respect and contribute to the place they call home, asserting that true patriotism involves actions that improve the country.

Kangana Ranaut’s Support

Kangana Ranaut responded to Isha’s video with a heartfelt endorsement of her views. She shared her own experiences of standing up against injustice, stating, “Wow well explained for me as- in high school protested against a teacher who used to hit children in head with stick during assembly, protested against 26/11 violence. Protested against Nirbhaya brutality.” Kangana highlighted her commitment to her country and her people, adding, “Identifies being a bhakt of almost anyone who I meet, I love my country I love my people. I simply love my life.”

Kangana’s response not only supports Isha’s sentiments but also draws parallels to her own activism. By sharing her personal history of protest against violence and injustice, she reinforces the idea that love for one’s country can manifest in various forms of action and advocacy.

A Call for Change

Isha concluded her video by reiterating her belief in India’s potential and future. She urged viewers to shift their mindset from questioning what the country has given them to considering what they can contribute. “Because Bharat is changing. It’s time to change our thoughts to help in making a new Bharat,” she stated. Isha proudly declared her identity as an Indian, saying, “So, call me a bhakt, call me an andhbhakt, call me a nationalist. I am Indian, I love my India, I believe in my India. Not blindly, but proudly, passionately, and unapologetically.”

Kangana’s endorsement of Isha’s views reflects a shared commitment to patriotism and social responsibility among these prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
