Kroll Celebrity Brand Valuation 2025: Actresses Dominate Top 25, No South Male Stars in Sight
Kroll Celebrity Brand Valuation 2025: Actresses Dominate Top 25, No South Male Stars in SightIndia’s entertainment landscape is witnessing a significant transformation, particularly in the realm of celebrity branding. According to Kroll’s Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2025, female stars are making substantial strides, with 12 actresses now among the top 25 celebrity brands in the country. This marks an increase from nine in 2024, highlighting the growing commercial influence of women in India’s endorsement market. The report estimates the combined brand worth of these top celebrities at an impressive USD 2 billion.
Female Stars Strengthen Their Presence
The latest rankings reveal a notable shift in the representation of female celebrities. The 12 actresses who made it to this year’s list include some of the biggest names in Bollywood. Alia Bhatt leads the pack at Rank 6 with a brand value of USD 93.9 million, followed closely by Deepika Padukone at Rank 7 with USD 89.2 million. Other prominent actresses include Rashmika Mandanna (Rank 12 | USD 75.2 million), Kareena Kapoor (Rank 15 | USD 61.8 million), and Kiara Advani (Rank 17 | USD 51.9 million).
This year also saw the introduction of new entrants like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Janhvi Kapoor, and Shraddha Kapoor, reflecting the increasing commercial appeal of actresses across various languages and platforms. The rankings indicate that brands are increasingly investing in actresses who not only have a strong theatrical presence but also significant digital reach.
Women Continue to Climb the Rankings
Several actresses have made impressive gains in their rankings this year. Rashmika Mandanna has climbed from 15th to 12th place, while Ananya Panday has risen from 25th to 19th. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was previously ranked 28th, now holds the 21st position. Janhvi Kapoor has moved up from 29th to 23rd, and Shraddha Kapoor has made one of the most significant jumps, climbing from 33rd to 24th.
These advancements suggest a growing recognition of female talent in the industry, as brands increasingly seek to align themselves with actresses who resonate with audiences both on-screen and online.
Absence of South Indian Male Superstars
One of the most surprising findings in this year’s report is the absence of any South Indian male superstar from the top 25 celebrity brands. Despite their blockbuster successes and global popularity, notable names such as Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Mahesh Babu are missing from the rankings. This marks the first time in recent years that the list does not feature a South Indian male actor.
Interestingly, while South Indian male stars are absent, actresses like Rashmika Mandanna and Samantha Ruth Prabhu continue to represent the southern film industries, showcasing the growing endorsement strength of female actors. The report’s valuation methodology, which is based on endorsement portfolios and social media presence, emphasizes that this absence should not be interpreted as a measure of box office success or popularity alone.
