Actor and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty has made a significant addition to her hospitality brand with the launch of the Bastian Beach Club in Mumbai. This new venture, unveiled in collaboration with founder Ranjit Bindra, is located at the renowned Sun-n-Sand hotel in Juhu. Positioned as the city’s first all-day beachfront destination, the club aims to blend dining, music, leisure, and wellness, all while offering stunning views of the Arabian Sea.
Creating a Coastal Retreat
Designed by Minal Chopra, the Bastian Beach Club draws inspiration from popular coastal destinations like Ibiza, Mykonos, and Saint-Tropez. The design features open layouts and seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a relaxed atmosphere. A neutral coastal color palette enhances the serene environment, while the sea-facing deck and central pool area serve as the venue’s focal point.
During the day, the club caters to families and groups looking for a leisurely outing, offering brunches and wellness activities. As the sun sets, the ambiance shifts to a vibrant nightlife scene, complete with live DJ performances and sundowner sessions, making it a versatile spot for both relaxation and entertainment.
A Culinary Journey
The culinary offerings at Bastian Beach Club reflect a fusion of flavors, combining popular dishes from Bastian’s existing menu with influences from Inka. Guests can enjoy a variety of small plates, including Veg Dry Corn Ceviche, Like Guacamole, and Rock Broccolini. Seafood lovers will appreciate options like Hamachi Ceviche, while sushi, bao, and dumplings are also featured prominently on the menu.
Larger plates include the Tropical Bowl, which features turmeric-spiced cottage cheese, and the Kinoko Hikari, showcasing wild mushrooms with truffle oil. Non-vegetarian options include the 5 Pimientas Chicken Bowl and Arabian Seabass Amazonico. For dessert, patrons can indulge in tiramisu, cheesecake, or a unique hazelnut pull-me-up cake.
Signature Cocktails and Evening Vibes
The bar menu at Bastian Beach Club is crafted to enhance the coastal experience, featuring a range of innovative cocktails. The Sakura Cloud Martini combines gin, sake, and lychee, topped with jasmine foam, while Tigre Verde mixes vodka with coriander and citrus. The Pacific Breeze offers a refreshing blend of tequila, lemongrass, ginger, and coconut water, and the Shogun Mojito introduces shiso and sake into the classic recipe.
Located at 39, Sun-n-Sand, Juhu Beach, Mumbai, Bastian Beach Club operates from Tuesday to Sunday, from 4 PM to 1 AM. The venue has a weekend cover charge of Rs 5,000 per person, positioning it as a premium destination for those seeking a unique beach club experience in the heart of Mumbai.
