FIR Filed Against Dhurandhar The Revenge Location Manager

A recent filming incident involving the upcoming movie Dhurandhar The Revenge has drawn attention after the Mumbai Police intervened due to unauthorized drone usage. The film, featuring prominent actors Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal, was being shot in South Mumbai’s Ballard Estate, which was temporarily transformed to resemble Karachi’s Lyari locality. The police halted the shoot and filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the location manager for violating regulations in a high-security area.

Unauthorized Drone Usage Leads to Police Action

The Mumbai Police took swift action when they discovered that the crew of *Dhurandhar The Revenge* was operating a drone without the necessary permissions. An FIR was lodged against Rinku Rajpal Valmiki, the location manager, under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). This section pertains to knowingly disobeying lawful orders from officials. The police emphasized the seriousness of the situation, noting that the filming took place in Fort, a high-security area of the city. Reports indicate that the crew had obtained permission from the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited for the shoot but failed to secure the required authorization for drone operations.

Filming Interrupted During Key Scene

On February 1, Sanjay Dutt was on set filming a pivotal scene for *Dhurandhar The Revenge*. Dressed in a white pathani suit and holding a gun, he was set to perform a dramatic walk that the drone was intended to capture. However, the shoot was abruptly halted when police arrived on the scene. Zonal DCP Pravin Mundhe confirmed the filing of the FIR and the arrest of Valmiki. The police clarified that while the line producers had the necessary permissions for the shoot, they neglected to obtain clearance for the drone, leading to the disruption.

Local Impact and Community Response

The filming of *Dhurandhar The Revenge* had a noticeable impact on the local community. According to a resident named Sanjay Gurav, the film crew blocked two major roads in Fort—Perin Nariman Street and Modi Street—for three consecutive days: January 30, January 31, and February 1. This disruption raised concerns among locals, who were affected by the road closures during the shoot. The incident highlights the importance of adhering to regulations, especially in areas with heightened security concerns.

Upcoming Release and Anticipation

Despite the recent filming setback, the makers of *Dhurandhar The Revenge* have confirmed that the film is set to release on March 19, 2026. The excitement surrounding the project continues to build, especially after the release of the film’s first poster, which features Ranveer Singh in a striking and intense role. Fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel, and the production team is working diligently to ensure that the film meets its scheduled release date.
