Vivo Launches Vision Headset at Boao Forum
Vivo has officially introduced its new mixed reality headset, the Vivo Vision, during the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 in China. This innovative device closely resembles Apple’s Vision Pro, which debuted in 2023. The prototype of Vivo Vision is set to be revealed in mid-2025 and will be part of the company’s Blue Technology Matrix, integrating AI technology for practical applications in daily life.

The Vivo Vision was unveiled by Hu Baishan, Executive VP and COO of Vivo, at the ongoing Boao Forum. The design of this mixed reality headset shows significant inspiration from the Apple Vision Pro, which is currently available in select markets for approximately $3,499 (around Rs. 3 lakh). An image released by Vivo indicates that the headset will have a design reminiscent of ski goggles.
The headset features a visor equipped with multiple sensors, which are expected to facilitate various augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) functionalities. Additionally, two sensors located at the bottom of the frame may be utilized for hand and finger gesture tracking, enhancing user interaction. The thick headband design is similar to that of the Apple Vision Pro, suggesting a focus on comfort and stability during use.
