Union Minister Scindia to Honor Gramin Dak Sevaks in Maharashtra
On December 13, 2025, the Union Minister of Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, will preside over the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Sammelan in Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. This event, scheduled to start at 4:00 PM, seeks to celebrate the remarkable dedication and invaluable service of Gramin Dak Sevaks, who form the backbone of India Post in rural regions.

Senior officials from the Department of Posts will attend the Sammelan, including Shri Jitendra Gupta, Director General Postal Services; Shri Suvendu Kumar Swain, Member Personnel of the Postal Services Board; Shri Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General of Maharashtra & Goa Circle; Shri Abhijeet Bansode, Director Postal Services for the Pune Region; and Shri Ramesh Patil, Director Postal Services for the Goa Region. The event is expected to gather an impressive turnout of 5,500 to 6,000 Gramin Dak Sevaks from both the Goa and Pune Regions.
