Shukla plans to first produce the film as a Gujarati project before considering a Hindi version, or potentially a bilingual release. The original Gujarati play, titled “Madhuri Dixit,” has seen considerable success, with 149 performances before the launch of its Hindi counterpart. Shukla is committed to staging both versions simultaneously, allowing audiences to experience the play in their preferred language. He drew parallels between “Madhuri vs Dixit” and his earlier work “Kanji Viruddh Kanji,” which was also adapted into multiple languages. This multilingual approach has proven effective in reaching diverse audiences, and Shukla aims to replicate that success with his latest project.
Future Engagements and Madhuri Dixit’s Involvement
While actress Madhuri Dixit was unable to attend the premiere due to prior commitments, Umesh Shukla has expressed his hope that she will be able to join future performances. He plans to invite her to the next show at the ISKCON Auditorium in Mumbai on May 9. Shukla has maintained communication with Dixit’s team, ensuring that she is aware of the play’s developments. The film adaptation is expected to retain the title “Madhuri vs Dixit,” aligning with the original play and continuing the narrative that has resonated with audiences.
