Shree Cement Boosts Production with New RAS Unit-11 in Jaitaran
Shree Cement Limited has officially launched its RAS Unit-11 at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Jaitaran, Rajasthan, signifying a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy. With this new unit, Shree Cement increases its clinker production capacity by 3.65 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and cement output by 3.0 MTPA, enhancing its status as one of Asia’s largest single-location cement manufacturing complexes.
Reinforcing Manufacturing Capabilities
The RAS Unit-11 is designed as a fully integrated facility that bolsters the cement plant’s capabilities in clinkerisation and grinding at a singular site. This strategic addition positions Shree Cement to meet the rising demand for cement in key North Indian markets with greater efficiency and reliability. Following the commissioning of this unit, the company’s total cement production capacity in India now stands at an impressive 65.8 MTPA, further cementing its reputation as a leader in large-scale cement manufacturing.
Commitment to Sustainability and Modern Technology
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, RAS Unit-11 features sophisticated automation systems and infrastructure that enhance operational efficiency. The use of Pfeiffer raw and coal mills, alongside an FLSmidth kiln that includes a 6-stage preheater and DeNOx system, exemplifies Shree Cement’s commitment to modern manufacturing standards. Additionally, the implementation of an FLSmidth Cross-Bar® cooler with an intermediate heavy-duty roller breaker is set to optimize the production process. Notably, the unit integrates a 22 MW waste heat recovery system and alternative fuel sources, underscoring Shree Cement’s focus on sustainable practices and energy efficiency.
The Managing Director of Shree Cement expressed pride in this significant achievement, stating that RAS Unit-11 represents the company’s ongoing dedication to responsible capacity expansion and resource management. The continued adoption of advanced technologies is expected to result in significant improvements in both operational efficiencies and cost optimization.
With solid long-term mining security, National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)-accredited quality systems, a skilled workforce, and increased manufacturing capacity, Shree Cement is well-equipped to support the expanding infrastructure needs of North India, delivering exceptional value to its customers.
