Samsung Unveils New Galaxy A Series Ahead of MWC 2025

Samsung has officially launched its latest Galaxy A series smartphonesโthe Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5Gโjust ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. These new models feature impressive 6.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. All three smartphones come with storage options of 128GB and 256GB, run on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7, and promise six years of OS and security updates.
Pricing and Availability of New Models
The Galaxy A56 5G is priced starting at EUR 479 (approximately Rs. 43,500) for the base model, which includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 256GB variant is available for EUR 529 (around Rs. 48,000). Customers can choose from a variety of colors, including Awesome Graphite, Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Olive, and Awesome Pink.
For the Galaxy A36 5G, the base model with 128GB storage is priced at EUR 379 (about Rs. 36,200), while the 256GB version costs EUR 449 (approximately Rs. 40,800). This model is offered in Awesome Black, Awesome Lavender, Awesome Lime, and Awesome White shades.
The most budget-friendly option, the Galaxy A26 5G, starts at EUR 299 (around Rs. 27,100) for the 128GB model, with the 256GB variant priced at EUR 369 (approximately Rs. 33,500). Color choices for this model include Black, Mint, Peach Pink, and White.
Specifications of the Galaxy A Series
All three smartphones in the Galaxy A series operate on Android 15 with One UI 7 and are set to receive six years of OS and security updates. Each model features a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and vibrant colors.
The Galaxy A56 5G is powered by the Exynos 1580 chip, while the more affordable Galaxy A26 5G utilizes the Exynos 1380 SoC. The Galaxy A36 5G is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Each device offers up to 256GB of internal storage and includes advanced AI features such as Auto Trim, Best Face, AI Select, and Read Aloud.
In terms of photography, all three models boast a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture. The Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G include additional ultrawide camerasโ12-megapixels and 8-megapixels, respectivelyโalong with a 5-megapixel macro camera. The Galaxy A26 5G features an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Connectivity and Battery Features
Connectivity options across the Galaxy A series include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Each model is equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery, with the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G supporting 45W fast charging, while the Galaxy A26 5G supports 25W charging. Additionally, all three smartphones come with an IP67 rating, providing dust and water resistance for added durability.
