Salman Khan Addresses Film Delays and Future Projects

During a recent promotional event for his upcoming film Sikandar in Mumbai, Salman Khan opened up about the status of his anticipated collaboration with director Atlee. The actor confirmed that the project has been postponed, citing budgetary concerns as a significant factor. He also shared insights into his future film plans, including a potential sequel to the hit movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Atlee Collaboration on Hold

Salman Khan addressed the speculation surrounding his potential film with Atlee, known for the blockbuster Jawan. He stated, โ€œI donโ€™t think itโ€™s happening right now. It was happening at one point in time. We tried really hard to work it out but something happened.โ€ Khan emphasized that the film’s high budget was a primary reason for its delay, explaining, โ€œI believe it was the budget of the film. Itโ€™s a very, very high-budgeted film. Hence, that film has been pushed.โ€ He noted that the project requires significant time and resources, which has led him to focus on other films in the meantime.

When asked about his next steps, Khan revealed, โ€œI have two films in the pipeline. Iโ€™ll soon decide which one to do first.โ€ This statement indicates that while the Atlee project may be on hold, he is actively considering other opportunities in the industry.

Future Projects with Sooraj Barjatya

In addition to the Atlee project, there have been rumors about Salman Khan collaborating with renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya. Khan confirmed these speculations, stating, โ€œBarjatya saab is doing some film. Once heโ€™s done with it, Iโ€™ll do his next film.โ€ This collaboration is highly anticipated, as Barjatya is known for creating heartwarming family dramas that resonate with audiences.

As Khan prepares for future projects, he is also reflecting on the success of his past films. The actor’s beloved movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan will celebrate its 10th anniversary soon, and there is considerable demand for a sequel. Khan remarked, โ€œBajrangi Bhaijaan sequel can indeed be made. The problem is that when its sequel will be made, toh Munni baat karegi!โ€ He added that K V Vijayendra Prasad is currently working on the script, indicating that a draft is already in place.

Exploring Comedy and New Ventures

Salman Khan also expressed his openness to exploring comedy in his future projects. He mentioned the possibility of participating in a sequel to the classic film Andaz Apna Apna, stating, โ€œIf Andaz Apna Apna 2 ho jaati hai, then (nothing like it). I am sure Rajkumar Santoshi would do a fantastic job.โ€ Khan emphasized that he is looking for comedy roles that align with his previous successes, such as No Entry and Ready.

As he navigates his career, Khan remains focused on delivering quality entertainment to his fans. With several projects in the pipeline and a willingness to explore different genres, the actor is poised for an exciting future in Bollywood.
