Raksha Rajya Mantri & Shri Ajay Bhatt visited DRDO Combat Vehicle Research & Development Facility (CVRDE), Avadi, Chennai on 05th September 2023. Interacted with scientists and reviewed the progress of ongoing projects in the lab, showing keen interest in the advanced systems being developed by CVRDE.
Raksha Rajya Mantri appreciated the CVRDE fraternity for its tireless efforts and contributions in defense systems development and stressed the importance of self-sufficiency in R&D systems. He praised DRDO’s efforts in empowering the nation with the “Make in India” concept.
RRM also took a tour of the main battle tank (Arjun Mk IA) and familiarized himself with the advanced features of this in-house developed tank.
