Raksha Rajya Mantri inaugurates CSD Depot in Ambala

Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt inaugurated the new premises of Canteen Department Depot (CSD) at Ambala on 05 July 2023. The premises were built by Dedicated Freight Corridor India Limited under the Ministry of Railways, in exchange for the land of the old Depot csd.

Speaking at the occasion, RRM appreciated the work done by CSD in realizing PM’s vision of automation and ease of doing business while providing excellent service to the military, veterans and their families. He congratulated the department on completing 75 years of service to the military and their families.

Founded in 1948, CSD has 34 regional warehouses distributed throughout the country. “The department’s contribution in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential goods to beneficiaries during the pandemic has been exemplary and commendable,” she said.

He also praised Indian Railways for undertaking projects to boost the country’s economy.
