NVIDIA GeForce NOW Lowers Premium Gaming Costs in India

If you’ve been hoping for a price drop on your favorite gaming consoles, there’s exciting news on the horizon. NVIDIA has officially launched its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service in India, allowing gamers to enjoy high-end games without the need for expensive hardware. While Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series S remain at their current prices, this new service offers an alternative for those looking to play popular titles at a fraction of the cost.

Understanding NVIDIA GeForce NOW

NVIDIA GeForce NOW is a cloud-based gaming platform that enables users to play high-quality PC games on a variety of devices, including laptops, desktops, handheld consoles, smartphones, and TVs. This service eliminates the need for powerful hardware by acting as a virtual PC, streaming games directly from users’ existing libraries on platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft Connect, and GOG. In addition to streaming games from these services, GeForce NOW provides access to over 100 popular free-to-play titles, including Counter Strike 2, Forza Horizon 5, and Cyberpunk 2077. Gamers can also look forward to highly anticipated releases like PRAGMATA, along with a library of more than 4,500 ready-to-play and install-to-play games.

Starting today, Indian gamers can sign up for GeForce NOW and instantly stream their favorite PC games from the cloud without needing high-end hardware. Currently, the service is in beta, and early sign-ups will receive custom early-access passes at a special introductory price. Each pass is valid for 90 days, and users can purchase additional passes to extend their access once the initial period expires. NVIDIA plans to launch the full version of the service in India later this year.

NVIDIA GeForce NOW Subscription Plans

NVIDIA GeForce NOW offers three subscription tiers globally: free, Performance, and Ultimate. The free tier will be available in India in the coming weeks. The Performance tier is priced at ₹999 for 90 days, while the Ultimate tier costs ₹1,999 for the same duration.

Both the Performance and Ultimate tier early-access pass holders will receive 200GB of persistent storage for an additional fee of ₹299. This storage will also be available for 90 days, with the option to renew once the period expires. Additionally, users of the Ultimate and Performance tiers will benefit from 100GB of single-session cloud storage for install-to-play games at no extra cost.

How to Access NVIDIA GeForce NOW

Gamers interested in accessing NVIDIA GeForce NOW can visit the official website and select the ‘Join the Waitlist’ option to reserve their spot. NVIDIA has stated that invitations will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, providing a limited-time opportunity to secure an early access pass. This approach ensures that eager gamers can quickly get involved with the service as it rolls out.

System Requirements for NVIDIA GeForce NOW

While NVIDIA GeForce NOW can be accessed on a wide range of devices, there are specific requirements to ensure a smooth streaming experience. Users need a 64-bit version of Windows 10 or later, a dual-core x86 or x64 CPU running at 2.0GHz or faster, or a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Arm processor with beta support. Additionally, a minimum of 4GB of system memory and a GPU that supports DirectX 11 or later are necessary.

For optimal performance, NVIDIA recommends an internet speed of at least 15 Mbps for HD resolutions at up to 60 frames per second. A hardwired Ethernet connection or a router with a 5 GHz WiFi connection is also advised to enhance the gaming experience.
