The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed multiple strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with major industry players including Cashfree Payments, Darwin Dynamics, Vultr India, Cars24, and the Council for Startup India (CSI). These partnerships aim to enhance support for startups, bolster infrastructure, and promote innovative practices across India’s growing entrepreneurial landscape.
Enhancing Digital Payment Opportunities with Cashfree Payments
In a bid to improve the digital payment ecosystem for DPIIT-recognised startups, an MoU has been established with Cashfree Payments India Private Limited. This initiative intends to streamline access to essential digital payment systems and fintech solutions. By combining DPIIT’s extensive resources with Cashfree’s proficiency in digital transactions, the partnership aims to empower startups, helping them grow and thrive in an innovative economy.
Startups involved will benefit from secure payment frameworks, risk management services, and preferential onboarding perks. Furthermore, the collaboration plans to offer valuable workshops, mentoring sessions, and innovative competitions covering areas such as compliance, fraud detection, and KYC processes.
Promoting Inclusive Entrepreneurship with Darwin Dynamics
DPIIT has also partnered with Darwin Dynamics LLP to focus on fostering entrepreneurship, particularly in Tier II and Tier III cities and rural areas. This partnership aims to enhance accessibility to mentorship and vital market opportunities for startups, encouraging a diverse range of founders, including youth and women.
The collaboration will spearhead outreach initiatives, entrepreneurship bootcamps, and international market access programs. It targets strategic sectors such as clean energy and advanced manufacturing, aiming to further the Startup India initiative and support underserved entrepreneurs.
Elevating Cloud Accessibility with Vultr India
Another significant MoU was signed with Vultr India Pvt Ltd, aimed at improving the technology infrastructure for startups. This collaboration will provide crucial access to cloud computing resources, making it easier for startups to innovate and scale.
Eligible startups will receive cloud credits and technical support through Vultr’s programs. Training sessions on cloud technologies, including application deployment and networking, will further equip startups to navigate the tech landscape effectively.
Revolutionizing Mobility and Auto-Tech with Cars24
The partnership with Cars24 Services Private Limited is designed to drive innovation in the mobility and automotive technology sectors. It emphasizes capacity building and investments in AI-focused solutions.
This collaboration will offer structured mentorship for startup founders and promote initiatives that encourage safe and sustainable transport solutions. By hosting challenges and hackathons, the partnership aims to motivate startups to develop cutting-edge mobility technologies.
Strengthening Investment with the Council for Startup India
Finally, DPIIT has signed an MoU with the Council for Startup India (CSI), aiming to enhance access to investment and strategic partnerships for recognized startups. This initiative is essential for speeding up the growth of innovation-driven enterprises.
