Lava International has officially launched its latest entry-level smartphone, the Lava Shark, in India. This new device features an impressive AI-enhanced 50-megapixel rear camera and is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, offering up to 8GB of dynamic RAM. Running on Android 14, the Lava Shark is equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery and is now available for purchase through offline retail channels across the country.
Lava Shark Price and Availability
The Lava Shark is priced at Rs. 6,999 for the model featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The company has announced a one-year warranty along with a complimentary Service at Home for customers. Currently, the smartphone can be purchased at Lava retail stores throughout India. Buyers can choose between two color options: Stealth Black and Titanium Gold.

The Lava Shark boasts a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1,612 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, providing an engaging viewing experience. It is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 processor, complemented by 4GB of RAM, which can be virtually expanded by an additional 4GB. The device also supports expandable storage of up to 256GB, making it a versatile option for users.
In terms of photography, the Lava Shark is equipped with a 50-megapixel AI-assisted primary camera, complete with an LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The camera system includes various features such as AI Mode, Portrait, Pro Mode, and HDR support, enhancing the overall photography experience.
Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, the Lava Shark supports 18W wired charging through a USB Type-C port. The device is claimed to provide up to 45 hours of talk time and can achieve a full charge in approximately 158 minutes. For security, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock feature. Additionally, the smartphone has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, ensuring durability.
