India Launches Nationwide Campaign for Public Grievance Redressal

The Indian government is set to initiate a nationwide campaign named “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” aimed at addressing public grievances and enhancing service delivery. Scheduled from December 19 to December 25, 2025, this initiative will be conducted across all districts, states, and union territories of the country.

Designed to promote good governance, the campaign focuses on several key objectives, including the identification and documentation of best practices, and making the resolution of public grievances accessible directly to citizens’ doorsteps. This effort seeks to bridge the gap between administration and grassroots communities.

Good Governance Week 2025

As part of the upcoming Good Governance Week 2025, “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” follows the initiatives taken during Special Campaign 5.0, which emphasized cleaner offices, reduced backlog in public grievances, systematic disposal of e-waste, and the enhancement of record management for improved governance. This nationwide campaign aims to further streamline these efforts, empowering citizens while ensuring transparency and accountability in administration.

In preparation for the main campaign, a dedicated portal has been launched effective December 10, 2025. The preparatory phase will run from December 11 to December 18, allowing states and union territories to strategize their district and tehsil level events. This phase also includes publicity efforts to inform stakeholders about the upcoming campaign activities.

Activities During Implementation Phase

The implementation phase of the campaign will entail various initiatives such as:

  • Resolving public grievances through the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS)
  • Addressing grievances on state portals
  • Organizing special camps for public grievance redressal
  • Processing service delivery applications in designated camps
  • Collecting and sharing good governance practices and success stories online
  • Adding new services for online delivery
  • Developing a Vision Document titled “District@100”

In anticipation of the campaign, an extensive preparatory meeting was held, attended by over 700 district commissioners and field officers from more than 1200 locations throughout India. State Administrative Reforms Secretaries and District Magistrates expressed their commitment to active participation and collaboration at the district level, underscoring the campaign’s aim to accelerate the resolution of public grievances.
