Dropped Your Galaxy Z TriFold? Discover Potential Screen Repair Costs

Samsung has officially launched its innovative Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone, marking a significant advancement in foldable technology. As consumers eagerly purchase this cutting-edge device, details regarding repair costs have emerged, particularly concerning the replacement of its unique tri-folding screens. Reports indicate that users may face substantial expenses if they need to replace either the outer or inner displays, with costs varying significantly based on the type of damage.

Repair Costs for the Galaxy Z TriFold

A recent blog post on the Korean site Naver.com, shared by SamMobile, has revealed the estimated costs for screen replacements in South Korea. The outer screen replacement is projected to cost between KRW 137,000 and KRW 226,000, which translates to approximately Rs. 8,300 to Rs. 13,700 in Indian currency. In contrast, the inner folding display replacement is significantly more expensive, with prices ranging from KRW 1,657,500 to KRW 1,834,500, equating to roughly Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,12,000. The higher cost for the inner display is attributed to the complexity of the tri-folding design and its larger size, while the outer screen replacement costs are comparable to those of Samsung’s previous foldable models.

Availability and Sales Projections

According to the same report, Samsung has released a limited number of Galaxy Z TriFold units for sale in South Korea. Each major Samsung store in the country has received between 15 and 30 units, with a total of around 700 units available nationwide. The company reportedly aims to sell between 2,500 and 5,000 units of the device by early next year. However, these figures have not been officially confirmed by Samsung, so they should be viewed as unverified estimates.
