Doctor Doom’s Motorcycle Commercial Surprises Spider-Man: Brand New Day Viewers with a Clever Post-Credit Twist

The much-anticipated release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day took place yesterday, July 30, captivating audiences with the beloved web-slinger. Marvel films are renowned for their engaging post-credit scenes, which often provide hints about future storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Following this latest installment, fans are eagerly awaiting Avengers: Doomsday, which will see the return of Robert Downey Jr. as the iconic Iron Man, now transformed into the formidable antagonist Doctor Doom. Many hoped to catch a glimpse of Doctor Doom in the film’s post-credit scene.

Post-Credit Scene Surprises

However, the film’s only post-credit scene does not feature Doctor Doom. Instead, it teases a significant development in the MCU’s future timeline. Following the scene, viewers were surprised to find an advertisement for the TVS Raider Super Squad Edition’s new motorcycle variant inspired by Doctor Doom.

What makes this advertisement particularly intriguing is that it initially appears to be part of the film. It opens with a mysterious character donning Doctor Doom’s mask, declaring, “Doom is here” and “Doom is wicked.” For a moment, audiences are led to believe they are watching a teaser for Avengers: Doomsday. The illusion is shattered when the masked character is revealed speeding through the city on a motorcycle with an Indian registration plate. The TVS Raider branding is then unveiled, followed by the Marvel logo, confirming the collaboration between the two brands.

Audience Reactions

The placement of this advertisement has sparked mixed reactions among moviegoers. A duty manager at a multiplex shared with Bollywood Hungama, “This is the first time I have seen an advertisement being placed at the very end of a film, even after the end credits. The idea is obviously to trick viewers into believing that they are watching promotional footage from Avengers: Doomsday.”

Another multiplex manager noted that several viewers who had left after the actual post-credit scene rushed back into the auditorium upon hearing there was another scene. Some were amused, laughing and marveling at the creativity of the advertisement, while others expressed their displeasure with boos and complaints.
