With the aim of highlighting the scientific and technological connection of laboratories with multiple levels of society, CSIR initiated a unique “One Week One Lab” (OWOL) program launched by the Union State Minister (independent office) Science and Technology; PMO of MoS, Personnel, Public Complaints, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh, who is also Vice President of CSIR.
Curtain Raiser Program for OWOL Week for CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), Kolkata was held on 22.08.2023 at the institute. Dr Ranjan Sen, Director of the Indian Association for Cultivation Science (IACS), Calcutta was the chief guest and was accompanied as the guest of honor by Dr Debashis Bhattacharjee, Vice President, Technology and R&D of Tata Steel ; Dr. Ranjana Agarwal, Director of CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research; and Dr. HS Maiti, former director of CSIR-CGCRI. The program was also associated with exhibits from the institute’s technology portfolio.
