Amaal Mallik Takes a Swipe at Tanishk Bagchi: “You’re a Bloody Thief”
Amaal Mallik has taken to social media to voice serious allegations against fellow music composer Tanishk Bagchi. In a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter), Amaal referred to Tanishk as “Mr Remix & Destroyer of Originals” and accused him of various unethical practices, including taking credit for songs and running paid PR campaigns. This public outburst comes shortly after Tanishk claimed he had not received Rs. 8 lakhs in royalty payments for the title track of “Saiyaara.”
Allegations of Song Theft and Copying
In his post, Amaal questioned Tanishk’s motives, particularly why he was targeting Yash Raj Films while frequently claiming that T-Series owed him money. Amaal wrote, “You keep saying @TSeries owes you crores, then why go after #YashRajFilms, kyunki Bhushan Ji Music Industry mein bohot strong hold rakhte hai?” He further alleged that Tanishk had secured the song “Saiyaara” by taking it from original creators Faheem Abdullah and Arsalan Nizami. Amaal stated, “If I speak up about how you bagged the film #Saiyaara, and stole the song right under Faheem Abdullah & Arsalan Nizami’s nose to make Mohit Suri take you in the film, then you will know.”
Amaal also accused Tanishk of copying the song “Saiyaara” from “Humnawa Mere” and suggested that singer Jubin Nautiyal remained silent due to his professional ties to the film. He did not hold back in his criticism, claiming, “You’re a bloody thief, your originals are also not originals.”
Paid PR Campaigns and Industry Rivalry
The accusations did not stop there. Amaal alleged that Tanishk was using paid PR against him, stating, “Paid PR ka paisa tum label se kama chuke ho, but kharach galat jagah kar rahe ho.” He expressed concern that rival factions within the film industry were trying to sabotage his upcoming project “Awarapan 2.”
Earlier this week, Amaal had expressed gratitude to fans for their positive response to his latest song, emphasizing the need for music to grow over time. He wrote, “Thank you for such a brilliant response to a melody that’s the closest to my heart. Every song needs time to breathe, be taken into the system and then reach and live in the heart of the audience.” He further claimed that a “huge paid PR” campaign was being orchestrated by rival elements to undermine both the film and its soundtrack.
A Warning to Rivals
Ending his post with a stern warning, Amaal stated, “Don’t mess with me, because this is my jungle, and there’s only one rule here. When the lion is hungry, he eats and leaves no crumbs.” As of now, Tanishk Bagchi has not publicly responded to Amaal Mallik’s allegations.
