Alia Bhatt’s New Rom-Com Set to Debut on Prime Video September 25
Prime Video has officially announced that its highly anticipated original movie, Don’t Be Shy, will premiere worldwide on September 25, 2026. This coming-of-age romantic comedy is both written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film also sees Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani stepping in as co-producers.
A Fresh Cast Takes Center Stage
Don’t Be Shy introduces a new generation of talent with four young actors: Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati. The film explores themes of friendship, young love, heartbreak, and the ambitions that come with growing up. Alongside the newcomers, the cast features notable names such as Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik in significant roles.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video (SVOD) and Amazon MGM Studios India, expressed his excitement about the film. “Don’t Be Shy is one of our most cherished films, and we’re thrilled to finally announce its global streaming premiere,” he stated.
