Abundantia Entertainment and invideo Kick Off Production on AI-Driven Film ‘Beta Builder’ Starring Mayur More and Ashlesha Thakur

Abundantia Entertainment has teamed up with video creation platform InVideo to launch an innovative project titled “Beta Builder.” This film marks the first collaboration under their partnership aimed at developing AI-driven feature films. Directed by Hridaye A Nagpal, production officially began in Mumbai on October 29, 2026. The film promises to blend live-action filming with cutting-edge generative AI technology, setting a new standard in storytelling.

A New Era of Filmmaking

The partnership was announced in February 2026, with InVideo committing Rs 100 crore over three years to produce a slate of five AI-driven feature films. This collaboration combines Abundantia Entertainment’s extensive production experience with InVideo’s advanced generative AI capabilities. The goal is to create unique narratives that resonate with audiences while pushing the boundaries of traditional filmmaking.

“Beta Builder” follows the journey of Jai, a self-taught architect from Dharavi, who seizes an opportunity to chase his dreams in the realm of virtual reality. As he strives to make a name for himself, Jai faces challenges from the system that seeks to hold him back. He must also fight for the love of his life and ensure that his community has a voice in shaping its future. The film delves into themes of ambition, belonging, and community, juxtaposing the realities of Dharavi with the limitless possibilities of a virtual world.

Star-Studded Cast

The film features a talented cast led by Mayur More, recognized for his roles in “Kota Factory” and “Black, White & Gray: Love Kills,” alongside Ashlesha Thakur, known for her performance in “The Family Man.” Their characters will navigate the complexities of ambition and community, bringing depth to the narrative.

Vikram Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “In our partnership with InVideo and Sanket, our focus is to leverage AI and tell stories that are unique, impactful and entertaining. I am delighted that the first film in our slate is one that tells a story set in a relatable, young world and explores aspirational possibilities beyond.” He praised Hridaye A Nagpal for his creative vision and technological expertise, believing he is the perfect fit to lead “Beta Builder.”

Vision for the Future

Sanket Shah, CEO of InVideo, shared his excitement about the partnership, saying, “At InVideo, our mission has always been to put powerful tools in the hands of storytellers. Beta Builder is where that mission takes the form of a full-length film, made with a partner of Abundantia’s calibre. It is a story about building something that lasts, which makes it the right film to begin this slate with.”

Hridaye A Nagpal, the film’s director, also weighed in on the project, noting, “We are about to see a wave of fascinating films. With AI-assisted filmmaking, storytellers can dream much bigger, and backing a bold idea finally feels possible. The partnership between Abundantia and InVideo gives filmmakers the scale and creative support to take on ideas like this. Beta Builder is our bet on that future, with a live-action shoot and AI working side by side.”
