Intel Addresses Performance Issues in Arrow Lake CPUs

This update aims to restore the processors’ complete and intended functionality. Furthermore, Intel has collaborated with Epic Games to resolve a separate issue related to the Easy Anti-Cheat driver. This driver was causing the infamous blue screen of death (BSOD) when users attempted to launch games utilizing this service. The latest BIOS updates for Intel Z890-based motherboards will also rectify misconfigured performance settings that reviewers encountered, ensuring optimal performance for users.
Upcoming Fix for the Fifth Issue
While Intel has successfully addressed four of the five identified performance issues, the fifth remains unresolved. This issue pertains to optimizations that were not ready for release at the time the other fixes were issued. Intel is currently evaluating a new firmware image that includes these optimizations. The company anticipates that BIOS images for affected motherboards will be available in the first half of January 2025.
Intel has committed to transparency regarding these issues. At the upcoming CES 2025, the company plans to provide a comprehensive A/B analysis of the performance of its chipsets.
