ICAT Marks 20 Years of Innovation in India’s Automotive Sector
The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) in Manesar has proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of essential service to India’s automotive industry. Key attendees included Union Cabinet Minister of Heavy Industry and Steel, Shri H. D. Kumarswamy, Minister of State for Heavy Industry and Steel, Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, along with other high-ranking officials from various ministries such as Heavy Industries, Transport, and Environment. One of the event’s focal points was a discussion on the PM e-Drive scheme, an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aiming to enhance India’s journey towards clean and sustainable mobility. Inauguration of Agri Machinery Test Facility
Notably, the event included the inauguration of ICAT’s indigenous Agri Machinery Test Facility, which stands out as a pioneering project. This initiative reflects ICAT’s expansion into a multi-sectoral testing and certification hub that intertwines automotive and agricultural technologies.
