The Russian amendment was voted down with 84 votes against and 14 in favor, alongside 53 abstentions. Similarly, Cuba’s proposal was not adopted, receiving 80 votes against and 20 in favor, with 52 abstentions. Following these votes, the Assembly proceeded to adopt 16 draft resolutions and one draft decision contained in the Fifth Committee’s report without further contention.
