iGOT Karmayogi: Elevating Civil Service Training Nationwide

The iGOT Karmayogi platform, a cornerstone of the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building known as Mission Karmayogi, is revolutionizing the training of government employees through digital learning. With a significant increase in both scale and reach, this innovative platform now accommodates not only various ministries and departments but also most States and Union Territories across India. Recent collaborations have led to the establishment of tripartite Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Karmayogi Bharat, the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), and 27 States and Union Territories for the systematic execution of Mission Karmayogi.

As of now, more than 1.41 crore users have registered on the platform. iGOT Karmayogi offers an impressive array of over 3,700 courses designed to enhance domain expertise, functional skills, and behavioral competencies. The platform has achieved more than 6 crore course completions, showcasing its popularity and effectiveness. Courses are provided in 23 different languages, including English and Hindi, which ensures accessibility that aligns with regional and linguistic diversity. Notably, 735 courses are available in Hindi, and 544 courses are translated into various regional languages.

The next phase of iGOT Karmayogi is set to focus on deeper integration of role-based competency frameworks, expanding multilingual content, and further refining role-specific capacity-building plans. This ambitious scaling effort aims to ensure that training is tailored to the unique responsibilities and requirements of civil servants in diverse roles.

The Government is committed to comprehensive onboarding for States and Union Territories, using a multilingual course ecosystem, and coordinating closely with central and state-level institutions. This approach guarantees that high-quality training is accessible to civil servants at all levels, regardless of their geographical location. By investing in the capabilities of government employees, the initiative aims to foster a more effective and responsive public service.
